What is UPTO? FunFinder?

We are offering a free service – a location-based directory connecting rangatahi with fun, support and opportunities in their community, in an effort to make the transition into adulthood more fun, supported and full of opportunity.

Why UPTO? FunFinder was created?

We created our platforms in an effort to bring awareness to all the support that is currently available to rangatahi in their own communities and online.

Many organisations either don’t have the skills, time or funding to advertise their services and tbh, getting the attention of rangatahi isn’t always an easy task so we hope to get into rangatahi spaces so they can quickly and easily find what they want or need.

I can’t find my favourite business or organisations, why is that?

If you can’t find a particular business/organisation it will be because it is not listed yet. The best way to make sure UPTO? FunFinder helps your community, is to tell the locally owned businesses in your area and get them to create a listing. Or if you don’t know how to contact them, send us their details via our email angela@upto.co.nz or any of our social media channels @upto.co.nz and we will get in touch with them.

Why aren’t there any listings in my local area?

In order to make UPTO? FunFinder as accurate as possible only business owners or our team can complete and update listings. The UPTO? FunFinder directory was only launched in December 2022 so please share our details with as many businesses/orgnaisations that cater to rangatahi in your community and encourage them to create a listing.

How can I help?

If you’re a rangatahi, give UPTO? FunFinder a whirl! Help spread the word by telling friends and family, as well as share to social media pages. Encourage your favourite organisations or businesses that cater to rangatahi to sign up to a FREE listing. The more we have the better it is for everyone!

What makes UPTO? FunFinder different?

It identifies businesses/organisations nearby showing:

• Free public locations to swim, walk, hike, bike, skate, explore etc.
• Opening hours
• Any business can list, they don’t have to currently be online (they don’t need a website or social media pages but we do offer services to set them up if that is what they want to do)
• UPTO? FunFinder  is mobile responsive using Google Maps to display selected categories of businesses/organisations that are nearby.
• Business owners can pay a small fee to add additional features to their listing.
• We have a library of YouTube content to support rangatahi as they transition into adulthood, find the Answers to many of the questions occupying your mind.
• Profits from UPTO? FunFinder are given back to our community who contribute content, used to pay for operational costs, prizes and giveaways and donated to organisations we see making a difference in the lives of rangatahi in Aotearoa New Zealand.

I want to nominate a business/organisaton, how do I do that?

If you want to suggest a local business/organisation for the directory drop us an email angela@upto.co.nz and we will get in contact with them to join. Don’t forget to tell them about us too, they can jump online and create a listing in a few minutes.
